Maybe it's the fact that it is the middle of February and even Valentine's day has come and gone but on Sunday I realized that I needed a change in our dinner line up. None of the usual (roasted vegetable pasta, Cafe Rio salad knock-offs, omelets, etc.)was sounding good. Therefore on Monday morning I went through my trusty Lochhead Ladies Cookbook and pulled out five dinner recipes I've never tried before. I made my shopping list and so far so good. Last night we had a vegetarian lasagne (submitted by my oldest sister Cynthia) from a cook book my Mom picked up while on a bussiness trip with my Dad years ago in Conneticut when they stumbled upon a fabulous vegetarian restaurant.
I'll post the winners this weekend.

Raised in a small South Dakota mining town where he learned the value of a sturdy pickaxe and native tubers, Scott is a man's man who knows the meaning of the word testosterone. Apart from devouring freshly slain beasts of the forest, Scott enjoys sharpening his tools, lifting heavy objects, and throwing a ball at a hoop suspended ten feet off of the ground. He also enjoys Romantic Era poetry and Italian cooking.
